When did we create a society where learning is scorned so effortlessly?

I don’t think the concept of ‘learning’ is the sole issue here. I do agree however that presenting it in a negative light does not benefit anyone. There are always going to be people who do not like certain learning tasks (maths, reading, etc). Sometimes the educational aspect has to be supplemented (or sacrificed?) with a motivational tool to encourage the user.
